In an announcement made by Manhattan Skyline, Emerging Display Technologies (EDT) announced that it will release TFT LCDs to replace those that Mitsubishi Electric has discontinued. It was announced in June 2020 by the Japanese company that it will no longer manufacture small and medium-sized TFT LCD modules, which are used in industrial and automotive applications, as of that date.

Since its inception as a monochrome display manufacturer, Taiwanese manufacturer EDT has expanded its product line to include a diverse range of color TFT displays, monochrome LCD displays including capacitive touch models as well as touchscreen displays, touch panels and cover lenses.

With the same size, resolution, and mechanical outline structure as the original display modules, it has developed a series of display modules that are intended to be used as compatible replacements. Initial offerings include 5 inch tft display, 8.4-inch (ET084030DVA), 10.4-inch (ET104030DSA), and 12.1-inch (ET121030DVA) modules, all of which have a resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels. As stated by the company, more options will be added.

It is recommended that customers who wish to replace a Mitsubishi module contact EDT so that the most appropriate alternative can be developed.
Manhattan Skyline, the company that distributes the displays, can provide you with them.
