Let's go on to the last half of this blog, where I'll show you how to get your UPSC admit card.
Before we proceed any further, I'd like to draw your attention to the fact that the UPSC admit card for the 2021 Mains test, which will be held from January 7th to January 7th, 2022, will be available soon on the UPSC's official website.
The UPSC admit cards are all electronic. That is, it will not be mailed to you; instead, you will need to download it from the UPSC's official website and print it.
Let's take a look at how to get your UPSC admit card for the IAS Mains.
Steps to Download Admit Card:
- To download your UPSC admit card you need to first go over to upsc.gov.in and click on the “Admit Cards” link on the right side of the page. You can also choose to go to upsconline.nic.in and click on the link called, “E-Admit Cards for various examinations of UPSC”.
- You will then be redirected to a page where there is a list of the various UPSC exams for which e-admit cards are available. Apart from the ones for the exams, e-admit cards are also issued for various recruitment posts and e-summons by the UPSC.
- Next comes the step where you click on the link called civil services prelims exams (for the particular year) to download your IAS prelims admit card.
- Before you are able to download your admit card, you will be asked to enter your roll no. or registration Id for the UPSC prelims.
- The admit card will then open as a PDF. Download it and then take a print out of it. You’ll need to carry the admit card to your prelims exam center in order to be able to sit for both the prelims papers.
Special Scenario:
If you forget your prelims registration ID, go to the "forgot RID" option and fill up the relevant information (Name, Mother's and Father's names, and Date of Birth), then submit to see your registration ID.
After you've obtained your ID, you can proceed with your download as usual.
