On today (January 5) Nex is unleashed on Old School Runescape after 90 percent of the community has endorsed the new update. Players can team together in clans of up to RuneScape Gold 80 players in order to take on the boss. As per the official announcement, Nex is also able to be battled solo in a private game. The instances are unlockable after completing an Hard Combat Achievements tier, after which you can purchase an account for one million GP to enter. The higher Combat Achievement tiers lower this cost.

The dwelling is located in an Ancient Prison beneath the God Wars Dungeon, Nex can only be reached once participants have completed Desert Treasure quest and a mini-quest that unlocks The Frozen Door. This iced-up access point is in existence since the Dungeon was first opened, but it has not been opened, up to now! Once inside the Prison it is up to the players to crush through a huge army (featuring Spiritual Warriors, Mages, Rangers, and Blood Reavers) before reaching Nex herself.

Destroying Nex can earn players valuable rewards like an Ancient Godsword, Zaryte crossbow, the iconic Torva armor set, and more. Each participant in the game will be able to acquire the item of their choice and the top performers receiving more rewards.

The suggested levels required to take on Nex are 70 Ranged, 70 Strength 70 Agility, 70 Hitpoints. In the moment, Nex players can't play Monster Examine on Nex. If players try to do so, a message will appear in the chat of the game saying "You can't get their statistics".

The Fifth General is expected to feature in the upcoming Shattered Relics League, which begins in RSC on January 19 and continues until March 2 following its being delayed from 2021.

It's described as an "RuneScape-inspired experience for fans of the series and newcomers alike." Melvor Idle has made its debut with its full launch. It is available to test for free via Android and iOS and an in-app purchase will enable you to upgrade to full version. A version that is only available for purchase is also offered on Steam for PS7.19.
