There is a big difference between American Sign Language (ASL) and British Sign Language (BSL). ASL is more fluid and expressive, while BSL is more regimented. ASL has more of a grammar, while BSL does not. Most importantly, the two languages use different signs to mean the same thing. For example, "the" is written as "TH-E" in ASL, but "D-O-Y" in BSL.
One day, two sign language trainers were giving a presentation on the differences between ASL and BSL. They showed a video of people signing in each language to illustrate their points. The audience was fascinated by the differences between the two languages and how they worked differently for different cultures.
