Madhubani Art is also called Mithila painting or (Mithila Chitrakala), a folk art style originated from Bihar, India. Mostly practiced by women, this form of folk art is known for detailed designs that feature both bright hues and symbols from nature as well mythology or everyday life. An ancient art form, Madhubani Art is characterized by nature-inspired motifs and usually created using natural dyes and pigments on walls, paper and cloth.

Pieces often depict flowers or animals as well as religious symbols or scenes from Hindu epics like Ramayana The story of Rama) or Mahabharata The Great Indian Epic). There are typically five different styles of the art form, Bharni, Kachin,Tantrik,Godna and Kohbar each have their distinct aesthetics. Madhubani Art is now a globally celebrated art form for the depth of culture it holds and visual distinctiveness.
