A part of your video game return to Madden includes celebrating Nike's iconic Bo Knows campaign. We'll go back to the beginning. How did Bo Knows' brand present the concept to Bo Knows to you?
We happened upon Bo Knows accidentally. Directors, writers, sketchers -- we were sat at a table discussing storyboards for our next shoot. We decided to trim the length as it was a little too long. Everyone was giving their opinions on this and this. I was like, "Why shouldn't this be done? ... Do we would we not shift this across here, add this there, then combine it, with a cut of 5 or 6 hours?' They glanced at me then said 'Wow. This could work. A person across the table glanced at me and said 'Bo Knows!' and it stuck. Nobody sat down and racked their brains or stayed up all night trying to think of the catchy phrase. It just happened sitting around the war table going over shootings.
Before you had a signature shoe, you had the Nike Air Bo Turf, in 1990, you were the headliner of for the Nike Air Trainer 3, which was later referred to as your shoe. What are your favorite memories about the Air Trainer 3?
Let me explain it in the following buy madden coins cheap way. In 1969 the year I was in the first grade of my life in rural Alabama during winter, it was in temperatures in the 30's. And I had to go to school naked. Shoes were not allowed. I'm not sharing this story for sympathy or as a sob story. However, I do remember my brother standing just a few blocks further away from his home. The front door is open. There was a sister standing a block away from my brother. our other sister was waiting at the bus stop. My sister who was at the bus stop noticed that the bus had climbed the hill just a few kilometers away, she'd yell at my sister, who would yell to my brother, and then my brother would yell to me. I would then walk out the door with my feet in the air. When my brother reached my sister's house I'd have caught him by the time he reached me. As we made it there I'm about 15 yards in front of my brother and sister. From going to school barefoot in the winter of '69 to growing up and getting the same sneaker as me ... I was blessed.
