However, in order to keep them looking as good as new, certain guidelines must be followed when caring for Birch carpets and carpet tiles.

Preventative Actions are taken.

Tips to Install Commercial Carpet Tiles

First and foremost, careful consideration must be given to preventing as much dirt from entering the building as possible, and limiting the amount of dirt that does enter to the entrance area. A scraper-type product, which serves as the first line of defense, should be installed on the exterior of the building, if possible.

Second, in the entrance lobby, a scraper and a textile product should be used in conjunction with one another.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, a high-quality textile matting should be installed in the area of the internal entrance. The Dura Tech® system, which includes the Dura-Well®, Dura-Brush®, and Dura-Mat®, is an excellent choice for these preventative measures because of its versatility.

Carpets made of birchDue to the nature of the material, Dura Tech will be the most abused of all floor covering finishes in a building. As a result, we recommend the following preventative maintenance schedule:

Cleaning on a daily basis entails the use of a good upright vacuum cleaner with a rotary brush action. The brush action also has the additional benefit of grooming the pile and reducing pile flattening, both of which are beneficial. Suction-only machines, such as a tub vacuum cleaner, are not recommended for use in the shower or bathtub.

A dry powder soil extraction system is recommended for heavy soiling when cleaning is required.

The frequency will be determined by the site conditions as well as the volume of traffic that passes over the mats. If a hot water extraction system is used, the temperature should not be higher than 60 degrees Celsius.

Taking Good Care of Yourself

Vacuuming carpet and carpet tiles on a daily basis is recommended to prevent the accumulation of soil, particularly in entrance and high traffic areas.

A powerful upright vacuum with a brushing action or beater bar should be used to ensure efficient dirt removal while also raising the pile.

Spot Cleaning is a type of cleaning that is done on a specific area of the body.

Spillages should be cleaned up as soon as they are discovered. If left unattended, staining will be more likely to occur, making removal more difficult. Scrape away any remaining solid spillage with a blunt spatula or knife to prevent it from accumulating.

Remove liquids by blotting (not rubbing) them away with an absorbent cloth or white paper, and repeat the process until all transfer has stopped.

Oils, fatty foods, and waxesAfter using a proprietary dry cleaning fluid, a dry detergent carpet shampoo is used.

Gum chewing is a common pastime. Remove the freezing effect with a proprietary aerosol remover. Scrape off the old Modular PP Carpet and then shampoo it with a mild detergent.

Cooking oils, butter, and other fats should be cleaned up with a mild detergent and carpet shampoo.

Urine, vomit, and feces are all acceptable. Solids should be removed first, followed by a mild detergent carpet shampoo.

There is blood in the water. Solids should be removed with a mild detergent carpet shampoo.

Asphalt/tar solvent spot remover should be followed by a dry foam carpet shampoo or hot water extraction to remove any remaining stains.

Solvent derived from milkSpot Remover, followed by dry foam carpet shampoo, are the best options.

The color of paint is a crimson. The following products are available: water-based mild detergent carpet shampoo, oil-based dry cleaning fluid

Cigarette smoke causes burns. Remove the damaged area with a circular cutter, and then replace it with a new piece.

Clearing and sanitizing

It is critical that the cleaning agent does not leave a sticky residue on the surface after drying, as this will attract and retain dirt.

Make certain that only detergents that dry to a crystalline form (which are more easily removed by vacuuming) and have a pH of no more than 8.5 are utilized.

Methods of Cleaning

Cleaning Contractors with a proven track record are required to complete this work properly.

The methods employed will differ depending on the type of soiling as well as the frequency and volume of traffic.

The following are the cleaning methods that are recommended:

Extraction with Dry Powder

We recommend the 'Envirodri System', or a system that is similar to it. The advantage of using this system is that it does not require any downtime. As there are no liquids used in this method of cleaning, the carpet can be walked on both during and immediately after cleaning. Extraction with Hot Water

Under pressure, hot water and crystalline detergent are injected into the carpet. The water and detergent are then immediately extracted by suction, removing the water, detergent, and dirt that has been trapped in the carpet.

Maintenance that has been scheduled

An evaluation of the various parts of the building, as well as a division of these parts into areas of heavy, medium, and low usage are used to arrive at this conclusion.

Cleaning will be done on a regular basis in high-traffic areas, with cleaning done less frequently in areas with low traffic.

The goal is to keep the carpets looking good all of the time, rather than allowing them to deteriorate to a point where they are no longer acceptable and require a thorough cleaning.

Carpets that have been allowed to deteriorate not only look unsightly, but they also have a significantly shorter life expectancy, requiring them to be replaced sooner than they should be.
