So it basically is a wholly brand new MMO, but they are using RuneScape more as a franchise than to refer to a particular game (or two matches, I guess). It's probably only called"RuneScape Remastered" for marketing purposes. There are a slew of OSRS Gold those who played with RuneScape at some point in their lives, but are following the news around Jagex anymore. If they launch a game called"RuneScape Remastered" that they will probably get much more traction on the internet than when they would launch a completely distinct MMO with a very different title.
Another MMO attempted - Runescape is lifestyle
I need to agree regardless of the massive downvotes. I have dragged into Final Fantasy XIV together with my friends and I really feel trapped because the housing market so is bank space and is truly bad. Because I can not hold my things for crafting together with the measly 2, I'm paying extra for retainers they supply. And I have to keep my sub active or that I lose my home and it is unbelievably difficult to get one to start with. There's limit spaced so people have to fight them over. I was incredibly lucky to be in the right place at the right moment. Last month I finished the story and I'm sitting here like. What's there for me? No matter value in any way.
All that's left for me to do is level other combat classes, grind eden raids every week to get gear that is only great to make eden raids simpler, or do Ultimate raids, which merely exist to make you endure and receive a name for bragging rights (It requires some group WEEKS of effort to defeat ultimate encounters). While grinding for equipment sounds great, I'm not permitted to sell gear obtained from raids and dungeons. From performing for me to gain so there's literally nothing of value. Money in general is barely worthwhile considering there's only 3 realistic applications for it: Being too lazy to craft, needing to overmeld your equipment (think augments in RS, but it merely increases raw stats), or home.
Melding is frustrating because it is already pricey as hell to find the Materiea but you can fail the meld and ruin it. The prospect of failure is high so that I don't feel like it is worth me trying to experiment with different stat loadouts -- particularly because I could do end game material WITHOUT overmelding. RuneScape's economy and awareness of progression is so much better in every single way. It saddens me that it still has that notoriety of being"babies MMO" since I can never get people to really give it a good shot and see why non-linearity is this a good way to tackle the MMO formulation. You hit walls much more easy, when you are made to advance in a direct line and it gets boring.
