The longest surah in the Qur'an
The surahs of the Noble Qur’an vary in terms of their length, and the longest surah of the Noble Qur’an is Surat Al-Baqarah, and this is consistent with the opening of the Noble Qur’an with the long seven of the surahs, and the beginning with Surat Al-Baqarah being the longest among the surahs of the Noble Qur’an, and the longest verse in the Qur’an is the verse of religion in Surat Al-Baqarah, and Surat Al-Baqarah is distinguished by the fact that all of its verses are civil by the consensus of scholars on that

as most of the verses of Surat Al-Baqarah were revealed at the beginning of the migration, and their number is two hundred and eighty-six verses, and some scholars, including Ibn Abbas - may God be pleased with him - mentioned that the last verse was revealed From the Noble Qur’an in Surat Al-Baqarah; And it is the saying of God - Almighty and Majestic: So he began with Surat Al-Baqarah, then followed by the remainder of the seven long ones, by giving precedence to the Madani from it over the Meccan

The order of the surahs in the Holy Qur’an was not based on the length of the surah only; Surat Al-An’am is longer than Al-Ma’idah, but it comes after it in order, and Surat Al-A’raf is longer than Al-An’am. It came after it also for many considerations other than the length of the surah, although the length in the arrangement of the surahs of the Noble Qur’an in general is something that is taken into account with the presence of exceptions in that,Surat al-Baqarah was named by this name in relation to the story of the cow of the children of Israel in it, where God

the Most High - mentioned Their attitude towards their Prophet, their mockery of him, their rejection of the commands he commanded them - peace be upon him - and their abuse of good manners with God - the Mighty and Sublime. In mentioning this story is an exhortation to the Muslims as it contains a warning about the wrong behaviors of the people of the story, and it is considered Surat Al-Baqarah The book of the Noble Qur’an, for what it contains of stories and lessons, contains fifteen proverbs and five hundred rulings; The verse of religion alone in Surat Al-Baqarah contains fourteen rulings, and it is the longest verse in the Holy Qur’an

The virtue of Surah Al-Baqarah
The honorable hadiths of the Prophet mentioned a number of virtues of Surat Al-Baqarah, and the following is a mention of some of them:
Protecting the house and its people from the harm of Satan; The Messenger of God - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - said: (Do not make your homes graves, for Satan flees from the house in which Surat Al-Baqarah is recited] until Surat Al-Baqarah is recited for example; It would have been a bulwark for him from the temptation of Satan, and he would repeat it every week or according to his ability.

The intercession of Surat Al-Baqarah for its owner on the Day of Resurrection;
The inclusion of Surat Al-Baqarah on the greatest verse in the Holy Qur’an; It is the verse of the chair. Ubayy bin Kaab - may God be pleased with him - mentioned that the Prophet - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - said to him on one occasion: (O Abu al-Mundhir, do you know which verse of God’s book with you is greater? Do you know which verse of God’s book is greater with you? He said: I said: “God, there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal.” [Al-Baqarah: 255].

The sufficiency of the one who recites the last Surah Al-Baqarah on his night, as the Prophet - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - mentioned that in his saying: (Whoever recites the two verses from the last of Surat Al-Baqarah in the night, it suffices him) . That is, they prevented him from harming him on that night, and it comes with the meaning of the reward of praying that night.

Reciting Ayat al-Kursi after every obligatory prayer is a reason to enter Paradise, as the Messenger of God - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - said:
Gaining blessings in the life of the reciter of Surat Al-Baqarah, in reading it great good is reflected in the life of the Muslim, and in turning away from reading it is regret and heartbreak for the Muslim. God - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him-: (Recite Surat Al-Baqarah, for taking it is a blessing, and leaving it is grief, and the heroine cannot do it)

The importance of the Holy Qur'an
God - the Most High - sealed the heavenly books with the Noble Qur’an, so He made it immortal by its miraculousness so that it would be a proof against the worlds, and in it was guidance and mercy for all people; God - the Most High - told His servants and guided them to that by saying -
