Up to date, Steamforged's Dark Souls tabletop range has sold over 500,000 units and has a an estimated retail value of more than $40 million. Mat Hart, Creative director and chief creative officer at Steamforged Games, stated: "Dark Souls has been one of the most important IPs for Steamforged since the beginning and is one of the most dear to our hearts. the fact that we finally brought Dark Souls to the tabletop as a game for roleplaying is hugely exciting both for us and the gamers with OSRS Gold."
The announcement comes with the release of an upgrade for Old School Runescape with a focus at Iron Man. According to the Dev Blog, "each set costs more than the last and multiple sets could be bought in one." The initial expansion costs 1million GP and the final expansion is priced at 500 million GP.
