It's both and sometimes we get a laugh out of it, but sometimes it becomes annoying when it goes on for a time," said Kozlowsky.
Kozlowsky's remarks are an intriguing insight into the way rumors are spread and the way that it can affect the way a game is received. Although Tropical Freeze might not have been the game that many people were hoping to hear about however, it was praised by the critics with high applause upon its release.
It can be a bit frustrating to invest a lot of effort into something only for the internet to respond with dismay based on false reports. It's difficult to predict the way fans react to the announcement of a game, however, hopefully this experience gave some fans a better understanding of maintaining their expectations!
