Blizzard has revealed that it will be doing the 14-day trial period in favor of a brand-new beginning-level system called The World of Warcraft Starter Edition. Gamers who check the game WoW by shopping on its website can advance their character until they reach level 20 -- taking the time they require before they have to pay for a subscription.

There are some important restrictions on players in the Starter Edition, however. Alongside the limit of 20 levels, players can accumulate just 10 gold, and have their trading skills set at 100 and are not able to trade through the Auction House or mailbox or even player-to-player.

Furthermore, Starter Edition players will not be able access chat rooms that are public and join guilds. invite guests to a party and join parties with characters of higher levels and use voice chat.

They can also change characters and utilize real ID features. In addition, Blizzard will give preferential treatment to paid WoW players when the realm has queues.
