The 6 In Health And Social Care

1. COMPASSION – We should always have compassion for those who need our help, and be understanding of their situation. Compassion is key when providing care for others. It's important to feel compassion for patients who are often going through difficult times, and to provide support and comfort as needed.

2. COMMUNICATION – Good communication is essential in any relationship, and especially so in the context of health and social care. The ability to communicate effectively is essential in any profession, but especially in the health and social care fields. Clear communication can help to avoid mistakes and ensure that everyone involved in a patient's care understands what is happening and what needs to be done.

3. CARING – Caring is at the heart of what we do, and is what makes us special as caregivers.

4. CREATIVITY – We need to be creative in our hospitality for better health and social care.

5. CRITICAL THINKING - Critical thinking skills are necessary when making decisions about patient care. Nurses and other health professionals need to be able to assess a situation, consider all of the options, and choose the best course of action for the patient.
