In Animal Crossing, being able to design and layout an island complete with residents the way we want it is perhaps the main feature of the game. However, most players don't like the various building locations they choose at the start of the game. After we start our ACNH adventure, we may decide to move island house. Therefore, in this guide, we will introduce how to move players‘ island homes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
To move our island homes to a different location in Animal Crossing, all we needed to do was interact with Tom Nook from Resident Services and shell out some Animal Crossing Items in the process. It's important to note that the island home can only be moved home after Resident Services has been upgraded from a tent to a building.
Here's what we need to do to move island homes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons:
1. Pay off moving fees
To move your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you'll need to pay off your debts first. When you first move to the island, Tom Nook will give you a bill for the cost of moving to your brand new deserted island, and it's 5,000 Nook Miles or 49,800 Bells.
2. Build a house
Once you've paid off these fees, you can immediately apply for a mortgage with Tom Nook and build a proper home. After doing this, you'll own a house the next day and can start making mortgage payments.
3. Waiting for the Resident Services upgrade
Next, you need to work hard to upgrade the Resident Services building. It will happen automatically, but it will take a little time. Before that, you need to complete some in-game milestones. You can upgrade your ACNH store, or build the first bridge, invite more villagers to your island, and prepare land for these villagers.
4. Talk to Tom Nook of Resident Services about your move
Finally, we must enter the Resident Services building and sit on the chair opposite Tom Nook to start interacting with him. Here you can discuss your island's infrastructure and layout with him. In order to move home, you need to select the following dialogue options: About my home... I want to relocate.
After this interaction, Tom Nook would put a moving kit in our pocket and charge a fee of 30,000 Bells for it. It's worth noting that we need to pay the entire 30,000 Bells for the moving kit in one go.
Once the deal with Tom Nook is complete, players can proceed to choose their preferred island home location. Once players reach their destination, they must open their pockets and place the moving kit in their preferred location by selecting the "build here" option. Wait until 5 am the next morning for players to see their Animal Crossing island home relocated to its new location.
We relocate home in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is very simple. Likewise, we can move our other buildings and villagers' houses, but that's going to get very expensive. Each building costs 50,000 Bells to move, with the only exception being the Resident Services, as it cannot be moved in-game. If you don't have enough Bells to pay, you can buy Animal Crossing NMT from ACitems with cheap prices and fast delivery.
