Trace the design
Tracing a design on a sharpie is no easy task, but it's not impossible. Start by downloading a plethora of designs from our template pack and printing one off, then slap a tea towel on top and tape it down. This will help prevent the tracing from snagging on the trim and getting all over your new best friend. While you're at it, why not make it a fun one-on-one project with your favorite squeeze? The end result is a slick hand towel for the kitchen or a cute gift for the hostess with the mostest. You'll need a little patience and a little luck but the results will be worth it in the end.
Apply baby powder
Using baby powder as a setting powder has become popular among beauty bloggers and YouTube vloggers. This is because the fine particles of baby powder will not create a streaky finish like other types of setting powder do.
Applying baby powder to your design can help make it appear more vibrant and smooth, and can also help fill in any gaps in your tattoo. It's also a great option for those who are allergic to makeup.
You can use a rag or an old loose weave or stocking type sock to pour on the baby powder. To keep the rag or sock clean, rub it in between your fingers or use a small brush to distribute the powder evenly on your design.
You can also mix a little baby powder with dry, nontoxic pigment powders to create colored Holi powder for a Festival of Colors celebration. The process is easy and can save you a lot of money.
Spray hairspray
Hairspray is a great way to help you keep your hair in place while styling, but when it starts to get sticky and build up over time, it can be tough to remove. Here are a few tips to get it off your walls, doors and other surfaces in your bathroom!
Rubbing alcohol is a great solution for this, especially on shiny chrome or polished nickel fixtures. Simply pour some rubbing alcohol on a cloth and wipe the stains away. It will also work on stained wood doors and woodwork, although you might need to test it out on a small section first. Another option is baking soda, a common household product that can help to lift stains off of walls. You can mix a little bit of it with water to make a paste, then rub the stains with your hands until they're gone. This can take a bit of time, but it's well worth it!
Ink the design
A tattoo is an ink design injected into the skin, usually via a needle. The ink molecules are too large for the body's immune system to respond to, resulting in a permanent piece of body art.
The process of tattoo over the sharpie can be a fun way to express yourself, and it can be done at home. First, trace the image you're trying to copy on tracing paper. You can use multiple colors of sharpie if you want, but make sure they are'sharpies' and not another type of pen or ink.
Next, place the tracing paper on the skin and draw out your tattoo design. You can do this freehand, or with a friend's help. Be careful not to go too deep into the skin, or the ink will run. When the design is dry, you can spray it with hairspray to protect it from fading or washing out. You can also use fabric paint to preserve it permanently.
