After a shrine has been found, players will have to walk up to the shrine and then place the heart of their friend who passed away over it. After this is done, they will have to start Dark And Darker Gold a long ritual of prayer in the shrine. The players should only start this process when they feel sufficiently secure to perform it because the ritual of revive fallen teammates takes an extended time to complete, making the team and the player at risk of being attacked from monsters and other teammates.
When players are done with the ritual, their heart will go to waste by the team member to whom the heart is attached to. The players can then offer their teammate the gear that they stole previously because the revived team member is not equipped in the first place when they return back. They can continue to seek out additional loot throughout the Dungeon.
There's not many greater accolades than being compared with Escape From Tarkov. as a title that defines genres, Escape From Tarkov blended together elements of battle royale and an extraction system for loot to create a game is difficult to imitate. The good news for players is that Dark and Darker presents a Fantasy-based take on the FPS extraction technique that merits the consideration of everyone Tarkov players.
Even though it's in its initial stage, Dark and Darker has been able to grab an interest from looter removal enthusiasts. While a comparison with Tarkov offers players a glimmer of an idea of what they can be expecting of Dark and Darker but it's certainly not being a copycat. It's a difficult-to-describe blend that is probably best understood through first-hand experience--with the next available opportunity coming in the form of Dark and Darker's upcoming February playtest.
As far as players' goals, Dark and Darker and Tarkov are quite identical. The ultimate objective of both titles is be able to spawn, fight against mobs and enemies and collect better weapons. They're both among the most challenging multiplayer games available. Beyond these two fundamental components, however both titles differ quite radically.
Tarkov is definitely the more strategic one, and has an incredibly complex weapon and item customization system, however Dark and Darker is the best in the pacing of DAD Gold in-game and lobby queue time. Because Dark and Darker implements the battle royale-style zone mechanism, it naturally moves towards a more competitive pace, and shorter overall match durations.
