One of the funniest ways to personalize your iPhone is to set a lock screen wallpaper to blend in with your photo collection. Maybe you want to browse different favorite wallpapers on your lock screen, or maybe you have a collection of vacation photos, favorite photos, or cool wallpapers that you want to browse. This is one of the interesting functions and advantages of iPhones. That's what this feature is designed for. 

Now you can easily set your iPhone photo series as wallpaper, so let's see how it works. You need iOS 16 or later for your iPhone to automatically switch between wallpapers. Earlier versions of iOS do not natively support this feature, but they can choose to automatically switch wallpapers to different powers through the Shortcuts app. 

Mixing wallpapers on iPhone lock screen 

 1) Open the Settings app on iPhone 

 2) Go to "Wallpaper" 

 3) Select "Add new wallpaper" or swipe all the way and select "New" to create a new collection of wallpapers from the lock screen. 

 4) Select "Photo Blending" 

 5) Choose one of the three default settings: People, Nature, Cities, or alternatively select "Manually select photos" below to select your collection of images to blend as your wallpaper. 

 6) Set  photo shuffle frequency: Daily, Daily, Touch, Locked 

The People, Nature, and Cities preset do a good job of picking great photos of these subjects. 

When you select the "Manually select images" option, you can browse your Photos app's library and camera to select photos, select an album to select images, and otherwise customize your paper experience. 

If you want the background image to rotate between photos very often,  you can change the background image every time you tap on your iPhone's lock screen when you select a tap. 

My personal preference is to set the rotating wallpaper to change every time the iPhone is locked, so I use the "locked" setting. 

Please note that this feature requires an iPhone with iOS 16 or later, as earlier versions do not support this feature. If you have an older version of iOS on your iPhone, or if you're using an iPad (because iPadOS seems to preserve lock screen and wallpaper customizations for iPadOS 17 and later), you can also automatically change wallpapers using shortcuts.
